Cockatiel leg injury

i work at a very small store in a rather small town and the store has a bird it is no ones really we all take care of it and the other day it fell getting out of his cage he does not seem to be using his leg there is only 1 avian vet in our town and he is out of town the closest with him gone is at least an hour and a half away i think it must be broken he is eating and drinking normally and does not look like hes showing any signs os shock is there anything we can do to the leg ourselves until the vet comes back from vacation

I am sure if it was broken, that your bird would be showing signs of distress, it may just be that he has brused himself. I wouldn't be a bad idea, however, to take him to the vets. I am not sure much can be done for a broken bone on a birds leg as they are very difficult to splint.
