cockatiel wing injury

I woke up this morning to find that 4 or 5 feathers had been torn out of the wing tip of one of my cockatiel. I'm guessing that there was a tussle among the 3 birds overnight and that as she was fluttering to the bottom of the cage these feathers got caught on something and were torn out. needless to say there was a lot of blood that I'm slowly cleaning off the bird. These were the long ones on the tip. the bf's. Is there anything special that I should be doing to prevent any infections and to help the healing process?

Now that the feathers are out, the bleeding should be over.  If there are any feathers left that are broken, you should have an avian vet pull them before your bird loses any more blood.  I think that your cockatiel will be fine now.
