Question
I have had to use a slow twisted snaffle on my daughters 3yr old Quarter Horse- what should I use now- we are past all the behavior problems we were having.

Answer
It all depends on where the horse is in her/his training and what your next goals are. For an English horse, I'd go back to a smooth D ring snaffle. For a western horse, it depends on if the horse is neck reining or not yet. A soft curb bit with a mild shank would be best if the horse no longer needs direct reining.
