This sounds crazy but we have a stallion that has extremely large testicles. This poses a real problem for him during his cutting training. We have tried to spray them with alcohol which has always helped draw others up but his are so big it doesnt help. Any suggestions?

we had the same problem with one of the reining stallions. the only way iv seen them change is by milking the stallion. im guessing you want him as a breeding stud so with the semen you collect or the vet collects you just freeze it so it can be used later. if hes not a breeding horse or wont be used as one later then theres no point in them being there. other then that i would have your vet come out and check them. since the horse is in cutting he must be fairly young. they shouldn't be that big. the horses body must be producing to much testosterone. the vet may prescribe a steroid that will help shrink them. just let him know hes a show horse though so he can give you one that not illegal in the arena. and make sure he doesn't get to much to wear his testicles shrink up all the way and he wont be able to reproduce. never keep him on the steroids for to long because it will ruin is reproductive system and his body wont make any testosterone at all. good luck with your stud.
