Headset for western pleasure

Hi I am working on ground because my B/S paint filly is not old enough to be ridden. Any way my question is this, I have her now in a snaffle and I was wondering if I could get a head start with the slow lope and nice semi-low head set. she already the minute she has her bit in she lowers her head. Just wondering.

I am not sure what type of ground work you are doing, but long reining can be extremely helpful to get your horses headset in the position you would like it in.

I suggest looking into that and possibly using a surcingle when longing if you are not already doing so.
