remedy for caugh and cold

nebulizer   hello ma'am. what is the remedy for cough and cold in horses? my friend uses a nebulizer.

There's no easy, simply answer to your question.  First off, what is causing the horse to exhibit a cough or signs of a cold, as you put it.  Horses are like people, they can be affected by environmental issues i.e. allergies, that will cause coughing and respiratory distress; congestion or nasal discharge, weepy eyes even low grade fever.  Or it can be an infectious agent, either bacterial or viral.  So until you know what is causing the symptoms you can't treat it effectively if at all.  I had a horse with allergic problems that I treated with a nebulizer.  It's very effective at treating respiratory problems.  If the nebulizer helps then it's a good thing.  Ask what the horse suffers from that it's getting the treatment.  I have no idea.
