hello. may i know why to do up down while posting at trot? why sitting trot not suggested?

Hello Rohit,

The posting or rising trot is as old as trotting a horse. It is a natural movement that enables the horse to travel with more freedom of movement. It is a great warm-up movement for the rider to help the horse's back to loosen. Also on long distance (as in days of old) the rising trot kept the horse and rider from tiring so soon.

The sitting trot is a schooling position and is necessary for training the horse in dressage.
