high heel shoes for racehorses

hello sir, i am really getting confused why few trainers use high heel shoes on racehorses. can you clear my doubt? generally, ladies who are short wear high heels. will this condition work with horses? are high heel shoes meant for short height horses?

Hello Rohit,

Shoes serve three purposes,to increase traction, to protect the hoof and to alter the gait. Shoes are not used to change the height of a horse; there really is no purpose in doing this. The "high heel" shoe you mention is used to increase traction.
