Question
Hiya, My pony is coming up lame 5 weeks now. She came up lame a few days after being shod. She seems to be completely sound on the straight but lame on a circle. She had a bit of swelling on the brachii muscle so i didnt think it was her shoeing. Her swelling is almost gone but she is still quite lame on the circle. i have had a physio out but no change. Any advice would be great.

Answer
Lameness on a circle can be attributed to Navicular Syndrome so the first place I would look would be to ensure that her hooves are balanced and leveled correctly. Shod or not, the hooves HAVE to be correctly trimmed according to the "hoof-in-hand".

Lots of visuals to help you determine how well balanced your horse's hooves are.

I apologize for the delay in my answer to you. I did not, for some reason, get your original question. But, hope this is helpful to you now.
