Question
K so i have a 20 year old mare who i bought last august. On last friday she began bagging up and now her milk is going more white-ish and thicker. Her belly is sagging and you can feel some slight veins on her lower tummy towards her teats. Any ideas if it is a fake pregnancy? any more questions or answers plz get back to me ASAP! im tring not to worry but its hard not too!

Answer
Was this mare exposed/bred to a stallion before you bought her?  If you do not know, I would suggest you contacting the previous owner for information.
It would be best to have a veterinarian examine this mare.   You should not express milk from this mare.  It would be a very good idea to read up on what to expect when a mare is due to foal just to have that information in case of emergency.
It sounds as if she is pregnant but I could not say just from an email.  One sign of impending partuition is a softening of the muscles around the top of the tailhead.  On either side of her tail, the muscles will relax in preparation for foaling and that area will feel like a "rotten cantaloupe" to the touch.
I really think you should have a veterinarian examine this mare so you will have facts to work with rather than just trying to guess.  Hopefully you will soon have a lovely new foal to train and love.   Good luck.
