Question
I own an seven year old arabian mare and we are considering breeding her this up coming season.  Although, I have done extensive ground work with her over the past several years I will not start her under saddle till next month.  Will it be safe to continue to ride her during her pregnancy?  I do only pleasure riding.

Thanks,

Answer
You should not have any problems riding your mare even up to the last trimester of her pregnancy.  As she becomes heavy with her foal, you will probably wish to just walk along the trails quietly and not ask for any streneous activity.  Good luck with the new foal and be sure and mind imprint the foal at birth.
