Questionmy kids just brought me home a tortoise on mothers day and it has an extremely soft shell i have been keeping him in his enclosure and not really handling him although i think he likes it cause that's the only time he is out of his shell. i am feeding him the appropriate amount of food and water but i think there is something wrong with him he doesn't really move and i have not seen him use his back legs at all. he spins in circles. i am just curious as to what i am supposed to do with him. what supplement will help his shell and his activity level. can you give me any good advice?
AnswerHello Frances, your tortoise needs to be taken to a vet, as with any new reptile to ensure their health. If something is wrong teh vet will give you medication and treatments for it. I am sorry but I dont have medical experience and can not tell you what is wrong.
Good luck though,
