i would just like to know how often i need to clean it out and how often i need 2 change the gravl in the tank

Hi Elizabeth,
If you are using a filter then clean it out completely with fresh water once a week. If you do not have a filter then every three days it should be thoroughly cleaned. And spot cleaning in between deep cleans. Be sure the gravel is not small enough for him to eat, it must be bigger then his head. And that should be cleaned off regularly through the deep water cleaning, replacement shouldn't be necessary.
