baby red eye turtle

i recently purchased a baby red eye turtle. My question is   are these turtles any way harmful to humans

Nope! There is a minor risk of Salmonella if you put your turtle in your mouth, or get too much of its soiled water on your food, etc. In general day to day cares, the risk is low and you can lower it further with good handwashing.
