Swimming sideways?

22 16:16:30

Question
I have a RES who started swimming on one side yesterday with 2 feet at the surface of the water and the other 2 directly beneath him. Is this normal or what could be wrong with him?

Answer
Hi Matt, you need to take him to the vet to get proper medication it is most likely RI (respiratory infection) and he has fluid built up in his lungs. It is caused by inproper temperatures. Raising the basking and water temperatures about ten degrees F. will help along with medical attention.

Does he sneeze/cough alot? When breathing do you hear a clicking or wheezing sound? Bubbles coming from his nose or mouth while in the water?

He definately needs a vet check so take him in and explain all his symptoms along with your setup and temperatures.

Good luck
