Is my map turtle sad?

I had two turtles, one RES and one Map Turtle. My RES recently passed away and now my map turtle does not want to eat or move very much. I currently have him in a smaller tank with warm water because I am cleaning out his regular tank. I don't know whether he's sick or just sad. Do turtles get sad when their tank buddies pass away?"

It is always sad to lose a shelled friend.

Your other turtle is going to be fine. I do not believe that they dont bond I do believe they do. However, I also know they are fine being on their own as well. Give it time.
