Question
I have a sulcata tourtoise and he is incredible healthy. I know much about turtles bu. I am just wondering if Crawford lettuce has any nutritional value for him. It would help so much because it is a seeding plant so it will save lots of money. Thank you for any information.

Answer
Hi Michael,

I had to look Crawford lettuce up, but it looks like it's a romaine relative and so would be OK for your sulcata as one part of a varied diet.  Sulcata should eat about 70% grasses/hay and the rest leafy greens.  If your sulcata can get outside to graze naturally at least part of the year he'll stay healthy and grow well.  Grasses and weeds are also excellent for him.  Enjoy your tortoise!
