he is not eating from past 5 days....????

Answer
Hi Rohit,

It sounds like your turtle may have some kind of fungus or infection developing on its shell.  The swollen eyes may be due to poor water quality or poor diet, and this may also be causing the lack of appetite.  In general, good water quality (excellent filtration) is very important, especially for red-eared sliders.  They also need a good basking area with a temperature of 88-90 degrees, water temperature of 75-78 degrees, a good UVB source, and a varied diet that includes both plant and animal material.  I'm going to link some good websites that will give you more information on how to properly care for your turtle.  If you improve conditions, the swollen eyes and lack of appetite should improve.  You can try salt water soaks for the spots on the shell, but if they don't improve you may have to consult a vet.
