can I put 2 baby red ear sliders with 2 juvenile yellow bellied sliders?

Question
I have had 2 juvenile yellow bellied sliders for about 3 months now they are 3-4 inches long and I tried to put 2 red ear sliders (1-1.5 inches long) in with them they were fine for a little while until my larger yellow belly which i think is female started biting one of the red ears legs. The other yellow belly is fine with them so far and hasnt tried biting the babies. I have seperated them because I cant watch them all the time. Will i ever be able to have them in the same tank? I have a 75 gallon tank.

Answer
The rule of thumb to prevent aggression is to allow about 10 gallons of actual water per inch of shell length- you have about 50-60 gallons of water, and about 10 inches of turtles.

If you get a bigger habitat, they should be fine together- but understand that they will all hit 5" easily, and 9-12" when grown- so the four could easily need 400 gallons of water!

Good luck!
