Answer
Hirani,      He is a red eared slider and his diet has way too much protein in it. It does need it diet supplemented by turtle pellets for water turtles. He is not a tortoise. He needs greens like collards, romaine, mustard greens, turnip greens. They also like some fruits try stuff see what he likes. Without that vitamin A and K he not only faces deformations in his shell, but it makes him susceptible to respiratory infections. I think if he is not bubbling mucous out of his nose and your not hearing any wheezing he should be fine when introduced the new foods. Especially the pellets. The fish and prawns are fine too but, with the veggies. If there is a wheeze or a mucous like substance coming out of his nose or eyes I would take him to a vet for antibiotics. Water quality is of the upmost importance with turtles so make sure you have him at right temperatures and lighting. Here is a care sheet for this guy for you. If he does not have a warm enough basking area he will not eat because he can not digest his food properly.        http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/caresheet-red_ear_slider.htm  Let me know how he or she does. Good Luck, Tina
