breeding turtles

If i did try to breed a african side neck turtle with a red ear slider, is there a chance i would be able to get a result???

I'm not a genetics expert, but since they're not in the same genus I doubt you could get them to breed, let alone produce offspring.  Beyond that, though, there no good reason for it--these turtles don't even live on the same continents.  There's plenty of species (not RES) that you could put your efforts into breeding, especially those that are still wild caught for the pet trade.  Why not look into those instead?
