what do mud turtles eat?

I have been researching on mud turtles and on some websites it says that they omnivors and on others it says that they are carnivors. I am confused and if i do get one i wouldn't want to feed it the wrong food.

Hi Jade, they do have commercial foods for them, you can offer worms you can offer greens and flaked foods. Id recommend feeding a diet that is fully balanced but not the same daily.
I like to take a PVC pipe, drill hp;es in it all the way down, then add worms to the pvc pipe that can escape the holes.
Then cap off each end and then he will anticipate a worm here and there and be sooo happy
