rear fin injuries

Question
Dear Jamie,
I have recently been asked by the organization I work for to assist a Turtle conservation aquarium in Zanzibar and upon inspection, I found that a number of hatchlings had injuries to their rear fins through over-crowding. The over-crowding issue has been addressed and confrontation is now at a minimum. However, I would like to know if you could please give me any advise you might have in speeding up the healing of these hatchlings? They are all around 5 years old and are the Green turtle species Chelona Mydas. I have been treating the wounds with a diluted betadine solution but they seem to be healing very slowly and I am a little worried about further infection. I have previously worked at a rehabilitation center in Athens and am trained in administering drips and antibiotic injections but as you can imagine, resources are very limited here in Zanzibar. Any help you might be able to give would be a great help and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Many thanks
Matt

Answer
Id need to see pictures of what youre dealing with.  Do you have UVB on them? Are there no vets assisting this venture? In the USA they are highly protected adn Id not venture to try to advise on this without the consult of a vet. I will try to contact someone that can assist you if youd like to send me a email address that they can contact you with,
