What dosage of panacur should I give my 9" red foot tortoise?  Thanks,

50mg of fenbendazole (Panacur) per kilogram of tortoise daily for 3 days is the recommended dose.

Now...
1. This stuff is a catch 22- it is relatively safe, but only really effective against a fairly small range of parasites- mostly helminths.

2. I am not in favor of self-prescribing medications by inexperienced keepers, and I would have to assume that you fall in this category for asking the question. Did you do a fecal analysis to determine what the parasites involved are?

3. The dosage listed is based on the materials in Dr. Mader's book 'Reptile Medicine and Surgery', but not being a vet, I cannot promise anything.
