Question
QUESTION: I house my female slider in a 150 gallon stock tank. My problem is trying to find, or trying to construct (mechanically inept) a ramp sturdy enough for her to climb up onto her basking spot. She knocks rocks down, flips docks as well as the large floating log. Suction cups won't stick to the tank. Help!

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

ANSWER: you can construct a set up where there is a long board that has grips and then use hangars to hang it fromt eh side. You can build up levels of gravel and use it for support, you can add plastic shoe box with something heavy over it.
there are several ways however Is this a pond or tank?
i have several ideas for  both that we use

QUESTION: This is a 150 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank. I've been hesitant to use a board because I've read that the chemicals they are treated with can leach out. What kind of board did you use? Can you clarify "grips?"

As I said, I'm mechanically inept.

Thanks
Chris

Answer
ok ive thought this through and came up with a better solution!!!
you know the wire shelves used in closets..... how about one of those????
the turtle can climb it safely, get where she wants to go and be able to come back. this would allow gripping the shelf and you can attach it the same way!
