THIS TURTLE WAS A GIVE
What kind of turtle is this?
I cant find a one anywhere?
Somwone left in a store and he was free.
I dont know what I shouls be feeding him and if he needs a eater tank or not? Do you have any suggestions on how to
take care of him or where I need to look for those resources?

Anyhow, if you look at the feet in the front you see that the toes do not have a webbing to them. this will ID him for you as a land turtle. He will not be able to swim.
NO he doesnt need water to swim in however he willneed a good soak and a water dish.
This being said, Im not sure where you live or the story behind him but it may be illegal in the state you live in to capture, remove him so please be carefull I understand someone brought him in so you may have some protection there by referring to him as impronted. cPlease chack with your local wildlife services.
He will eat weeds, greens, worms, grubs.
He should be in a large enclosure, if he was a pet, if he was wild he should be returned to the wild.
To safely house him in the winter, you can get a bookshelf turn it on the back place substrate on it, then make him dens etc. he will enjoy that. you will have toprovide uvb, heat and basking areas. he will need a water dish he can get into but is no higher than the part of the shell that joins the bottom and top shell.
