swimming frantically!!!

Hi Mark,
I have a RES's and recently put him in a bigger tank with a lot more water than usual but he justs swims frantically all over as if trying to escape and i am afraid he might get exhausted and drown since he never goes in the direction of the basking area to rest. I took him out in the mean time until i could figure out what to do.

This is usually a sign that something is not quite right for the turtle- water too hot or cold, tank too small (still), or stress in some other way.

It won't exhaust itself and drown, but you should review the care standards at a good site like http://www.redearslider.com and see of something needs adjustment.
