Questionwell i know basically everything about them just not what they eat... HELP
AnswerYou mean true 'mud turtles' of the "Kinosternon" family, or 'mud turtles' as a lifestyle, like pond turtles?
If you mean the Kinos, they are small aquatic predators using an ambush technique similar to snappers. In fact, if you think of them as 'mini-snappers' you'll be pretty close.
In the wild, they will eat small fish, insects, worms, crustaceans, tadpoles, snails, etc. In captivity they eat fresh or frozen prey or, better yet, high-quality carnivore pellets for turtles or fish.
