corn snake and sonic pestchaser

Question
Hi~ My son has a little corn snake that lives in a tank in the basement. I bought some sonic pestchasers that "emit a high frequency sound that repels rodents but will not harm humans, dogs or cats". It "emits sound pulsing 68-80 times a second at 103dB". It is not to be used around "rodent pets such as rats, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc" but it does not say anything about snakes or reptiles. The sound does not travel through walls so I assume I can use it in other rooms of the house, but would it hurt Steve, the corn snake, to use it in the room where his tank is? Odd question, I am sure, but I really do not want to hurt the little snake. Thanks!

Answer
Just as a precaution I would not suggest using it in the room he is in. As reptiles are a newer pet on the market, a lot of the pest control products don't include our cold-blooded friends. At least you thought about it. I had a customer whose roommate set off a spider bomb in the room with his pet tarantula, not thinking about it. He now has nerve damage and can't hunt. :(

You can call the company to see if they might know. It's quite possible that it might be alright, but it's easier to be safe than sorry.
