Turtles mating - Follow up

Question
I ran out of follow ups. Thanks for replying though. Is there any way I can figure out from physical appearance of the female turtle that she has eggs inside her?

Answer
Nothing 100%, but here are a few things to look for:
Gravid females may exhibit reduction in appetite (the eggs take up space, so they have less room for food), restlessness, and irritability (with their owner and with companion turtles).  They may dig test holes with their back feet, in soil.

You can also try palpating for the eggs--stick a finger into the gap where the turtle's hind foot comes out, and see if you can feel round objects under their abdominal wall.  X-Rays can also be used.

Apart from the X-Rays, nothing is foolproof, so simply make sure that breeding turtles have access to everything they need.
