Question
my sons water dragon has had issues from day 1 and been to the vet 2 months ago but he seems sick again after going off all the meds he was on...i belive he  has a respitory infection, mouth rot, parasites...he isn't eating on his own, some teeth have fallen out, he isn't opening his eyes and when he does they are white, his mouth has brown on it and was bleeding the other day, he has lost lots of weight, not growing, not moving from his favorite spot anymore, not pooping, he gasps for air...i still attempt to feed him daily the food from the vet, i know he is probably so sick i should let him go but this lil guy is my favorite of my kids pets...we got him from petco in October, his cage is huge, 4 types of water supply, temps are perfect...I'm lost for what to do for him, please help me...

Answer
Hello Lorie,

Are you using a UVB light right now?  What are the temperatures in his tank & what do you use to measure the temperatures with?
If he is not eating, you will need to try & get some food into him.  Try getting some chicken or turkey baby food & feeding him with a plastic dropper or syringe.  Do you have any probiotics such as non dairy soy yogurt or non dairy acidophiliz?  Which medication was he placed on & how long was he on the medication?
How often do you use calcium?
He could have parasites also, from the stress of being ill.
Try to find some colloidal silver & some bee pollen at the health food store.  Give .5ml of colloidal silver daily along with a small pinch of bee pollen granules to help boost his immune system.

Do you have any pictures of him & the tank set up?
