Bearded Dragon / Bloated Throat / Food not digested

Our bearded dragon has had a distended throat (for 2 days) caused by kale not properly swallowed and digested.  He has been thrashing to dislodge the food and when he does we remove it when possible.  We are making sure that his tank is the right temp and he licks water from soaked romaine.  He will be two in March and is currently shedding.

 You may want to skip the tough kale and stick to staples like collards, turnip greens, dandelions and mustard greens and to have them processed to mush with water.  Add some grated butternut squash for veggie, or baby food butternut squash.  He should be seen by a vet to find out how the kale was being obstructed.
