Question
Hello, we recently purchased a Russian Tortoise in November but two weeks later we were concerned about it's health so we brought him to the vet. The vet told us that he was severly dehytrated and the vet gave him a dose of anriboitics and told is to give him eloctrolyte baths. Since then we have changed his diet to Kale, Collards etc and we have stated givimg him regular baths and viamins. We weighed and measured him recently and he weighed 70 grams nd the carpace lenght was 6.6cm. Is this a healty weight for the tortoise? Thank you in advance. =)

Answer
Hi Nicole, That is a very normal and healthy weight for that length. You've done a good job turning his condition around for the better.  Now.... he may still be undersized for his age. Those numbers would be an average size for a yearling, but that is far less of a concern. He will catch up.
