treatment of Crested Geckos

Question
Lately I have been noticing that my female Crested Gecko has not been doing very well. He has not been able to shed properly and he hasn't been able to grip the ground so he has stayed in the same place in his tank. When I took him out he started to in a way "convulse" and it took a while to calm him down. I opened his mouth when he seemed to be calmer to check his calcium sacs to see if he was low. His Calcium sacs were fine, they were full of Calcium. So I gently helped peel his skin off because of his inability to do it herself. After that she started to be able to move around. But I am not sure what caused the convulsions. And also she has a dip in the middle of her spine, it goes from one level on the first part of her back and then the other part is lower than the first part because of the dip. Do you have any ideas what is wrong with her. I am pretty worried.

Answer
Hello Sean,

What type of substrate are you using?
What are the temperatures in the tank, & how do you measure the temps?
Do you have a humid hide for her?
You said that the calcium sacs are fine then?
You mentioned that her spine has some deviations on it?  Could you post a picture of her so I can see that better?  That would greatly help.
Has she gone to the bathroom lately? Could she be impacted perhaps?
Is she eating very well, or at all?
It sounds like you are going to have to begin assist feeding to help her out as she is going to go hungry.  Try getting some chicken or turkey babyfood & use some pedialyte in with it & get a plastic dropper to feed her.  Start with .5 cc per day.
How is her coloring looking?
Let me know how she is doing.
