Question
Hello Mam

Is it posisble to tame and domisticate a house common lizard?.. My 3 year old daughter is very fond of them> one got trapped between our window and a mosquito net. We keep feeding it and it has grown considerably in size.. She wants to play with it.. sleep with it.. eat on the table with it..

I was just wondering if it ever been done or could be done?

Thanks

Answer
Usually wild lizards do not do well in captivity.  I would not attempt it with them.  I would just let them come and go as they please.  If you are lucky, and find eggs, then you may have better luck with the hatchlings.  You would have to confine them to a tank until they get used to being handled by people, but house lizards are agamids, related to the bearded dragon, and probably can be tamed if captive born.
