My Juvenile Bearded Dragon

My bearded dragons tale has been all crinkled up and getting ready to fall off and well tonight the other bearded dragon in the cage with him kinda got in a fight over food and I picked the one with the hurt tale up and put him back in the cage and now his tale is bleeding what can I do?

Hello Christina,

Well you are going to have to separate them.  That is the beginning of them fighting & you most likely have two males.  They are going to kill each other.
Do you have a plastic storage bin (large 20 gallon or bigger) to put one of them in until you get another setup ready?  You will need to treat the tail with betadine & neosporin or polysporin ointment.  Did he completely bite the tail off or just put bite marks on it?
Nevertheless, he is most likely going to lose part of his tail because that is what happens.  That tissue will become necrotic & die off & you will need to watch it for infection & probably end up taking him into the vet for treatment.
Please do not keep putting him back in with the other one that already bit his tail.  He is injured now & the other one could just completely finish him off.
