Question
i am 10 years old, i have 2 anoles, one brown anole, one green anole and they live toether happilly, i am not sure if they are a boy or girl. This morning, June 14th i found a wrinkly ovel- shaped tiny white thing... i can't tell if it's yellow or white... it looks a little tiny bit  yellowish mixed with the white but it's mostly white. I had a mossy area set up for my past lizard for mating season, but she never laid eggs, and right where that area was, was the object that appeared to be an egg. it has a dent on the bottom though, i went through all this research online about anole eggs but i found nothing.. it it an egg?  is it going to hatch or is it a dud? will there be more? how do i tell if my anoles are boys or girls? what is the proper baby anole care?                  also, it's about the size of my pinky fingernail which is really small.   i didn't know it would be that small if it was an egg.

thanks, aspen

Answer
First don't touch it. If the egg is fertile you could kill it by moving it. Next, you need to do some research on Anoles and websearch for reptile incubation. There are plenty of forums and websites to get info from. I'm here mainly to help with medical or ID questions, and things you can't get on the web.

Make sure you have UVB lighting ( not compact coils ) for your Anoles and you can start your websearches with http://anapsid.org and just websearching for Anole care.
