Just need to find out, why the male tortoise is not eating well. Have tried a variety of vegetables. The female tortoise has no problem.

My first immediate guess would be that he has gone off feed due to the fact that it may be breeding season for him and even though he is not trying the body tells him not to eat and to breed.  Other than that it could also be that he is being submissive to the female and the enclosure may not be big enough but I can't say for sure without further information.  I would try and offer two separate dishes of food and see what happens then.  If you need further help I would be happy to assist you.  I would need to know if there are multiple basking sites as well as th size of the enclosure and what the UVB parameters are.  Thanks for allowing me to help.
