Fat-tail gecko not eating

Question
I have a male fat-tail gecko that doesnt want to eat(lost it tail almost 2-3 years ago, still growing, but tail is small).
It`s been at least 3-4 months and it`s the second time in the year that he doesnt want to eat. We tried crickets, meal worms, baby food. The temperature and humidity in the tank is where it should be.What else can we do?

Answer
Well, if it's a male it could be that it's simply in breeding mode which is when the males will typically stop eating and start looking for a mate instead.  It does seem really unusual though that if the heat and humidity parameters are where they should be that it would go off feed suddenly.  Did it recently become stressed for some reason?  I would also suggest maybe not handling it as much as this might be a stress which is causing it not to eat.  Other than that I would take it to a qualified reptile vet and have a work up done.  Also what types of baby food have been tried?  The reason I am asking is Geckos have certain tastes and will refuse different types of foods based on this.  Hope this helps.  Please get back to me with any other behaviors that you may notice as I would really like to help you with this and together we can learn what has caused this.
