Brown or Green Anole

Question
How can I tell the  difference between these two species.  I have seen two different lizards in my back yard.  One I am certain is a green anole.  The other seems to meet the description of the brown anole, but I live north of Atlanta, GA - and this doesn't agree with the range information I have read for the brown anole.

Green anoles can change color and they will show up as brown before the basking temperatures reach the levels they need.  So what you are seeing is more than likely a cold green anole.  By the way good job researching on your part that is really nice to hear from people.  Brown anoles also have a stripe down the back this is usually the best way to tell the difference.
