Question
Hello, I am conidering a bunny as a pet but have some questions first which I was hoping you could help me with........

How large would a cage for an adult mini rex sized rabbit need?

Do rabbits enjoy sitting on a lap and being petted? do they enjoy human company at all?

Would a single rabbit be ok? as I don't have room for two.

Is Kaytee forti-diet a good brand to feed? do they need fresh vegtables daily as well? what about hay?

How much time each day should the rabbit be allowed to run outside of its cage?

And laslty how long would a minuture/small breed live?

Thank you for any help in advance.

Answer
Hi
Just a noraml sieze rabbit hutch would be fine. With it being a mini rex, then you wont need a large hutch. Just try and get a meduim size. You can have large if you like, but they do cost more.
rabbits enjoy sitting on a lap and being petted.they enjoy human company all the time. Rabbits need to picked up at least twice a day, so then get tame. But they love being with humans to play and have company.

A single rabbit will be fine. Just keep giving him lots of love.

Rabbits need to be cleaned out once a week. Use HAY, do not use straw. Straw is bad for rabbits. So always use hay.
You can feed your rabbit all sorts of fruit. When you feed your rabbit, you can fill his bowl with fruit. But do this for example Monday and a Friday. because they can get runny poo when they have to much fruit. It doesnt harm them or anything. But yes you can give them fruit. A full bowl will be fine. But the best time to give it them is on a Monday and Friday.

Rabbits are meant to have 6 hours of exercise a day. But if you dont have time for this, then 1 hour or 2 hours aday is fine.

Age 7 is old for a rabbit. Rabbits can live to age of 10. So really it depends on the how the mother dad was bred, and how they are looked after.

I hope i have been able to help.
