I must have rambled... I DO NOT HAVE A DOE! I wanted one & just found "pink parts!" My question is - will they bond better after he gets fixed? the other two are done... but the polish is the one I want to bond with the mini rex....

Brenda!
I have two males (a 2 yr Dutch & a 3 yr Polish dwarf) that I adopted from the Humane Society. I recently bought a baby mini rex (not sure of colour type) that was supposed to be a girl.... nope. Her purpose was to bond with the Polish as the boys don't care for one another since they weren't raised together.
Is it going to be a horrible thing bonding the two (rex & polish)? The polish loves company & is submissive - the wee one is maybe 3 months & pretty aggressive with him... should I wait until I can fix the rex & bond afterward?
They sleep beside each other in seperate cages & "bond" for about 10 min a day ... thats all the polish can tolerate before turing into a flying squirrel into my arms!
Any advise would be appreciated!
Thank you - Tammi
Answer -
Your doe is old enough to get pregnant, so I would suggest not allowing them to be together and she is too young for it to be healthy.  If you want them to be together you must get one fixed, I would suggest the doe as you have other bucks.  Be careful though since rabbits do not do well in surgery.

Keep in mind, though, that rabbits in general do not like to be around one another when they get older even if they are raised together.

Answer
In general, rabbits are solitary animals and would prefer to live alone.  The little one will most likely grow out of the desire to bond with either of the other rabbits, it just isn't in their nature.  I suppose it is possible if he is fixed, though it is not likely.
