Question
My rabbit Pete is 5 years old, and I adopted him a couple months ago. He is very well litter trained and always uses his litter box. But for some reason he has some obsession about peeing on my bed. He likes to jump up on the bed and dig around, and sometimes he cuddles with me. I keep his cage in my room even though he is given full run of the apartment when I'm home. I just like having him on my bed, but sometimes he pees. It is the strangest thing. He likes to cuddle with me at night but I hate waking up to find my bedding soiled in the morning. He has maybe done it half a dozen times since I have had him. I am pretty sure he's neutered...the shelter I got him at said he was, but when I took him to the vet they couldn't tell. Have you ever heard of this type of problem before and is there anything you reccommend I do?

Thanks!!

Answer
Well, question number one can be answered by checking out http://www.rabbitnetwork.org/articles/sexing.shtml  Neutered males and any female look awfully alike, but there are ways to tell the difference.

It sounds like he is marking your bed as his.  So you may either have to keep him off the bed or keep it covered when he is out.  There are some other ideas at http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/litter.html  It's hard to keep them off the furniture, but you have a right to sleep in a nice dry bed.
