Question
i have 2 rabbits, but one of the rabbits has been hurt by the other one.it has been bitten on the neck,my rabbit doesn't seem very botherd about it please tell me what to do.

Answer
Dear Aleksandra,

First, if the rabbits are fighting, they must be separated until both are spayed/neutered and you can properly bond them, as per the instructions in the articles here:

But for now, the important thing is to treat the wound so it won't become infected.

Wash the wound very well with a dilute solution of povidone iodine (about 1 tablespoon iodine to 1/4 cup of lukewarm, clean water) on soaked cotton balls.  As the wound becomes visible, and you can easily differentiate fur from skin, *carefully* clip the fur away from the wound so it won't stick there and dry onto it.

Once the wound is very clean, pat it dry with another cotton ball.  If the wound is small (less than 1/2" long), and not deep, it will probably heal on its own.  But if it is larger, and if you can see underlying tissue such as muscle, then it would be best to take the bunny to the vet for suturing.  You can find a good vet here:

I hope this helps.
