6 week old bunny

I am wondering about the certain behaviors of a 6 week old mini-rex and Netherland dwarf mix. He loves to be held and is always giving kisses! He seems happy and has a 2 month old bunny friend who is the same mix and very outgoing. I have noticed that the female has tried to mount the male and have read that she is claiming her dominance over him, is this true?

Answer
It may be that she is "showing him who is boss" or it may be that she is sexually mature and trying to show him how "it" is done.  Either way, it would be wise not to let them be together alone or for long since they will end up fighting or mating or likely both.
