Answer
Q. What do bunnies eat?
A. Rabbits in the wild eat various vegitation (bark, leaves, grasses, etc.). Domestic rabbits usually eat rabbit food pellets along with hay and fresh vegetables and fruits.

Q. When they need to use the bathroom do they just look for a corner inside the house?
A. It depends. Rabbits can be litterbox trained. In this case, they will go back to their litterbox to go to the bathroom. However, rabbits that are not litterbox trained will often just pick a place to pee and produce little dry poops all over the place (very easy to vacuum up)

Q. When you tell a bunny to do something does it listen?
A. Again, it depends. Rabbits are pretty smart, but they also are not like dogs in that they train easily. Wild dogs (wolves) are used to listening to a leader and doing what the leader says, so pet dogs naturally do the same. Wild rabbits do not do that so much. With patience and training, though, you can teach rabbits to do certain tricks, come when called, etc.

Q. Does it need a cage?
A. Generally, yes. Even if it is litterbox trained and the house is rabbit-proofed, most rabbits enjoy having a cage to go back to because it is a safe place that is theirs and theirs only.

Q. Do you need to brush it's hair?
A. Yes, it is a good idea to brush its fur, especially during the shedding season. Some breeds, like angoras, need a lot more brushing, while others only need brushed once every couple weeks (more when they are shedding).

Q. How big does bunnies get?
A. It depends on the breed. The smallest breeds are netherland dwarf and britannia petites. Both of these breeds have a maximum show weight of 2 1/2 pounds in the USA. On the opposite end, some of the giant breeds have a minimum weight of more than 10 pounds, and 15+ pounds is not uncommon.

Q. Do they cry?
A. No, they do not cry like a human would, but I feel that they do have feelings. Rabbits can get lonely and act sad when they are seperated from someone they love. I've had bonded rabbits that would refuse to eat if they were seperated. I have also had a few rabbits that bonded very well to me, and they would get upset if I would go on vacation.

Q. Do they get mad?
A. No one really knows for sure exactly what emotions, if any animals feel. However, rabbits can definitely show signs of aggression, if not true anger. They can be mean toward other rabbits if they don't like them or do not like what they are doing.

Q. Do they like to run inside the house?
A. Yes, they enjoy running around inside the house very much. :) Just make sure that the house is rabbit-proofed. Rabbits like to chew on things. Uncovered electric cords can be very dangerous to the rabbit if it chews through it while it is plugged in. Also, all poisons (including poisonous plants), and anything you don't want chewed on should be kept out of reach.

Q. Would they get used to you?
A. A well-socialized rabbit can be very used to humans, and particularly their owner. Many will even beg for attention and food, and it is terribly cute when they do so. :)
