Question
I was wondering if baby bunnies learn to eat by nibbling on ther mothers droppings? 'Cause I thought that's what are baby was doing. There is food available to the bunnies too.....? It might be a dumb question, but I was curious. Thank you.

Answer
Usually they start learning to eat, by nibbling on things in their nesting box like hay, pine shavings- whatever you use to line the box other than mom's hair. Cleaning out the box- taking out soilded or feces covered hay will help to prevent them from eating moms droppings.
You can sprinkle a bit of feed in one corner, but usually when babies start nibbling, they are coming in and out of the nest box so adding feed to there usually isn't nessassary. You can always add extra hay too. Both is good for babies.
