Questionso i have a 2 year old dwarf hotot. a zoomy bunny who binkies and loves to chill with the family eats nothing but hay and greens. although for the past year he seems to refuses to clean his butt...i took him to the vet she said he was just lazy...i.e. peeing in his litter box and then sitting it the pee...soaking it up...i was curious to know if other bunnies are like that and if there is a good way to get out the knots and gross dirty pee'd on fur off and also if this is a normal thing for a buck to do. and he is neutered.
AnswerDear Britney,
You need a different vet who is more experienced with rabbits and will take this problem more seriously. It is not normal for a rabbit to sit in his urine and have a messy bottom, and it is *certainly* not because he is "lazy!"
Please read:

You might be able to find a more experienced rabbit vet here:

and I hope you will be able to get your bunny friend the proper care he needs to get well.
I hope this helps!
