Selamectin

Hey its Cassie again. Well I checked out the website and it said I should get some Selamectin. Do you know where to get this medicine? Do you have to go to a vet to get it or can you get it from a store nearby. Thank you sooooo much for helping me along the way.

Dear Cassie,

Unfortunately, Selamectin is available only from veterinarians.  This is because if people gave it to a dog with an active heartworm infection, the dog could die of sudden cardiac arrest.  The manufacturers of the drug cannot take that kind of chance!
