QuestionOur 8 month old mini rex delivered three still born babies. There was never any movement or sound from the babies. Our bunny was bred with her father. When we saw her nesting we cleaned her cage (new cedar chips - o.k.?) and moved her to a quieter room. She cleaned and licked the babies, but I think they were dead when born. They were all 4 1/2" long - is that considered big? My daughter was very sad. The bunny seems fine - moving, active and eating.
Any idea's what went wrong?
AnswerIf you read our profile, you would have seen that it says "We don't engage in, so can't answer questions about, rabbit breeding or showing, or questions about rabbits for meat, fur or experimental purposes."
I personally would not breed that closely due to the possibility of genetic defects.
